About us

BOTRA is an association of Bank of Tanzania Retirees.
Below are our main goals with this association

1. Retiree Unity

Bring together all BOT retirees irrespective of their years of retirement and continue to communicate and interact among themselves

2. Member Support

Provide a forum for its members for discussion, formulation of strategies and medium for dissemination of information pertaining to the development of members

3. Resource Hub

Develop a BOT retirees’ Website which shall be used to serve as a resource center and database for BOT retirees with discussion forum and link members to retirees’ programs

4. Networking & Collaborations

Collaborate and establish relationships nationally and internationally with other Retirees association/or Associations involved indirectly with retirees in order to promote cooperation and networking

5. Fundraising

Raise fund and receive donations of both movable and immovable property and to make appeals to the public for the same in pursuit of the objects of the association

6. Property Management

Purchase and own land, buy property and dispose them, borrow money for the purpose of furthering the objects for which the Association is established

7. Objective Pursuit

Do all transactions as may be deemed necessary for the furtherance of the above objectives.

1. Jukwaa hili ni la kinanani? Who is this platform for?

Jukwaa hili ni kwa jailli ya wastaafu wa Benki Kuu ambao ni wanachama wa BOTRA na wanachama waalikwa.

This platform is for all retired employees of Bank Of Tanzania.


2. Kuna ada zozote za uanachama? Are there any membership fees?

Ndiyo. Kuna ada za aina mbili; ada ya kujiandikisha na ada za uanachama. Ada ya kujiandikisha hulipwa mara moja tu. Ada za uanachama hulipwa kila mwezi.

Yes, there two types of fees, registration and subscriptions fees. Registration is paid only once and subscription fees is paid on a monthly basis and you can pay more than one month.


3. Nafanyaje malipo ya ada za Uanachama? How do I pay membership fees?

Kwa sasa tunapokea malipo nej ya mkondo kupitia benki na mawakala, au mkondoni kupitia Selcom Pay.
Ukiamua kulipa kupitia benki na mawakala, hakikisha unawasilisha nakala ya stakabathi kwa Mhazini ili malipo yako yaorodheshwe kwenye akaunti yako.

Dhima ya Chama:
Kuleta ustawi endelevu kwa kuwaunganisha wastaafu, kutoa huduma kwa wanachama, uwakilishi na utetezi wa maslahi yao, na kuwawezesha kuendeleza mchango wao wa kitaalamu kwa Benki Kuu ya Tanzania na jamii kwa ujumla.


Dira ya Chama:
Chama cha kuaminika na kuheshimika katika utoaji wa huduma bora kwa wastaafu.


Misingi Mikuu ya Utendaji
1. Uwajibikaji
• Tutatimiza wajibu wetu na kuwa wasikivu.
• Tutatoa taarifa kwa wakati.
• Tutawasiliana na wadau wakuu wote na kushughulikia hoja zao.
• Tutafanya maboresho endelevu kwa manufaa ya wanachama.
• Kila mwanachama ni mtu binafsi anayestahili kuheshimiwa na kutambuliwa katika shughuli zote za chama licha ya hulka yake.
• Katika mijadala na katika jambo lolote linalohitaji uamuzi, viongozi watazingatia misingi ya usawa, uongozi jumuishi na kuzingatia tofauti mbalimbali miongoni mwetu.

2. Umoja Licha ya Tofauti Zetu
• Tunatambua kwamba chama hakina makundi ya umri, kipato, jinsia au utambulisho mwingine wowote.
• Tunazingatia kuwa kila mwanachama ni mtu binafsi; anastahili kuheshimiwa na kutambuliwa licha ya hulka yake.
• Viongozi watazingatia misingi ya usawa na uongozi jumuishi kwa kutambua tofauti mbalimbali miongoni mwetu.

3. Uhuru wa Kutoa Maoni
• Tunahimiza mwanachama kueleza mawazo, maoni na mapendekezo yake kwa kuzingatia utaratibu uliowekwa.
• Tunahamasisha mwanachama kueleza mashaka au malalamiko yake kwa mujibu wa taratibi, katiba na kanuni za Chama.
• Viongozi watazingatia haki ya kila mwanachama kutoa maoni au hoja yoyote kwa mujibu wa Katiba na taratibu.

4. Uwazi na Uadilifu
• Tunabainisha masilahi ya wanachama katika kila tunachokifanya.
• Tutaonesha wazi jinsi matokeo ya kazi yetu yanavyopatikana.
• Tutazingatia maadili na utendaji bora katika shughuli zote na katika uamuzi wowote tunaofanya.
• Tutawapatia wanachama huduma ya kiwango cha juu kabisa cha ubora.

• Tunajumuika pamoja kutekeleza hatua zinazoleta matokeo tunayotaka.
